Hi everyone,
I hope everyone is having a good day.I am sorry I didnt get back with you all yesterday,I was just so tired from getting home from the Drs that I just came home and went to sleep.Plsu I was in so much pain when I got out from the Drs.My parents are not happy wth my Arthitis Dr.My app was at 1:45,I didnt get out till 4,yupthats right.They took an Xray,He says I dont need Surgey,that I need Therepay,but my Dad was saying,He dont think I need it,because if there is a screw loose in my knee,it wont help it.THe Dr says my knee is very inflamtory,which I knew that.He said I would start to feel better after He taking so much fluid off of my knee,but,I dont,He said I would start to be walking better,but,I dont.When I got home from the Drs I couldnt even walk to the door,Gary and my Dad had to help me into the house.Biscllay I am not even going down stairs,just staying up in my room and I hate it.
No,I dont feel like a Princess,wish I did.LOL.But anyways,I have to call my Regular Dr today and see what He thinks about the Xrays.I want my Dad to come with me.He didnt know I fell and I told Him last night,He thinks I could have sprained my knee,but,how could I,if I could still walk on it?I dont know anymore.I am just getting frustaeted.I just talked to my Boss and told Her I dont see how I could come back to work next week,when I cant even walk.She understood.Anyways,looks like I will be off of work for a while.My Boss says I need to get the papers from to fill out,so,I could get paid.She is going to give it to Gry.Gary was susposed to get it.Men.LOL.When I go back to my Regular Dr I am going to ask for a better pain killer than Ibuprofen 800.I ope you all have a nice day.Be safe and warm out there.Peaceot.

I'm so sorry you are having so much trouble. I know it has to be frustrating when the doctor basically isn't helping you. Maybe your regualar doctor will do better for you. I agree that your dad should go with you. Good luck Sweetie.

Amanda...you come down here and I will take you to the best ortho doc around....you can stay with me ..I will take care of you while you are down here {we will have lots of fun! {movies, games, pizza, anything you want!!}

Awww the little dogs are sooo cute! lol It seems like to me Amanda that exercise might loosen the screw more?? Maybe you need a second opinion?? Be safe and check it out more. You want to be able to walk. They did surgery on Terry Ann's neck; her telling them it was her shoulder!! It was her shoulder they found out after surgery on her neck. :-( Will keep you in my prayers, Janie
It sounds as if you need a new doctor. Maybe your Dad could help you arrange it. You cannot carry on like this, it is not fair on you.

I was hoping you'd be better by now. I can give you some help if you don't mind hun. I think I told you I was a CNA in a hospital unit where they did knee and hip replacements and did physical therapy. It was a rehab unit. I learned alot.
What would help with the swelling is taking turns with the heating pad and ice. 20 mins. each no more or less. Strengthening the thigh muscle too by sitting on the edge of something with you leg hanging off and swinging your leg slowly upward and down again several times a day. The thigh muscle supports the knee. I hope you will give this a try and don't expect it to help by the next day. It takes time for things to heal. I'm so sorry you are still in pain.

I think you need to see an orthopedic dr. They were the ones who put the screw in I'm sure, so they would be the ones to go to.

I agree with one of the commentors below that you may need to see an orthopedic doctor. So sorry about all the pain you're in. Whatever you do, I really hope that you get relief soon.

Gotta say that sucks to have a screw loose even if it is in your knee. Arthritis wants to make its home with me too I guess. Hopefully they'll give you some better meds soon. Have you tried Aleeve?? Helps me.

Taking water/inflamation down does help! I got coritisone & it helped bring it down amazingly! You have a screw in your knee? I missed that posting apparently. Did they do more blood tests to see if your arthritis levels went up? They can tell. Also MRI shows if there a muscle issues. Mine turned out ok, just arthritis issues I think they said so yes, I was suggested therapy too & it does help. When you keep the muscles loose & not tight then you don't inflame from using the muscles too much or in ways they can't handle. Basically, you want them in tip top shape to handle what you want them to do. Just get a 2nd opinion if you like. General doc really don't know though. They do not specialize & deal with each issue like the specialists do. Usually, I'm sore when I get home from the docs from them poking & proding but a day or so & I'm better. They have to do it to see what hurts. Makes sense if you think about it. And the time you were there...that is good girl...you are lucky! Heck I wait for an hour just to get into the room for my foot doc & then if I have to get my cast off, then xrays etc it does take a long time. The xrays should show if the screw has come out any so they should know...Good Luck. Hope you feel better soon.

hi hugs. this is all ne to me. so please bear with me.you appear to be a young person and love with with your mom and dadthe amount of pain also seems to be alot and the you need new drs. believe me i am much older than you. suffer for yrs with knee pain. are you a little aggressive at all with theses drs? i know how how thry think they know all of it and then more.maybe you have friends or friends of friends who would know of a good orthopedic man. i know the frustrating the whole thing is. take it step by step.blessings donna
