- I am 39 will be 40 in May,cant belive I will be 40,still live at home,in a new place now,since my Dad passed last year in Jan,I miss Him sooo much that it still hurts.alot of new changes going on in my life,still strugel with alot.But I am not going to give up,I am for a reason,just dont know what that is yet.

Hi Amanda,
Why don't see if your parents can help you find out how much a month it would cost to get cobra -or your own insurance just so you have an idea how much it would cost you.
I'm paying a little over 400 right now - but it some places it might be lower (Im in NJ) and it would take the presssure off of you to go back to work until you are ready and you can use some of the money from disablity to pay for it.
It would only be for a little while until you are feeling better and can go back to work when YOU feel you are ready.
